Uno – La Légende – White-tailed deer bowhunting 192 inches Team Radical. Six years of history and four years of chasing Uno are finally over. The time and effort invested in hunting of this deer are beyond measure. There really are no words to describe what my family and I went through during the pursuit of Uno. Many days I questioned my abilities, my sanity and my character. Had I invested too much in the pursuit of this deer? Had I sacrificed too much at home to hunt him? These were just some of the questions I asked myself on an almost daily basis. Never had a deer beaten me for so long, and never had I felt so defeated. I’ve never had a stag occupy my daily thoughts as much as Uno. I’ve never had a stag that made me question myself almost daily. Uno did all these things to me, and in the end, I really think it was worth it after seeing my wife’s reaction and receiving so many warm messages from friends and family. Uno was and always will be a legend to my circle of friends, my family and myself. I have the utmost respect for this deer and will never forget the endless hunt and the hardships I’ve endured. This story is much more than a deer. Not only did I learn more about this deer, but I also learned more about myself, my family and my friends throughout this hunt. I would like to thank God, my wife, my daughters, my family and my good friends for giving me the strength to complete this quest. Without them, there’s no story, no dream come true, or the end of a six-year quest. Uno, as hard as it is to say it sometimes, thank you!
