Wildlife OnVideo Huge bull moose courting a cow during the rut

We were lucky enough to see this huge bull courting a receptive female during the moose rut. The moose rutting season usually peaks in the first two weeks of October. In the northern hemisphere, it’s earlier, while in the south it’s a little later. Males may court females for several days during the mating season. The largest and heaviest members of the deer family can often be seen in groups during this period, with males and females potentially competing for mates. Males chase or even fight their rivals for the right to mate, while females occupying the same area may also chase each other away from their favorite male.
