Clay Hayes Hunter How to build a bamboo-backed Osage reflex longbow
An Osage reflex deflex bamboo longbow is a great way to start building a bow if you’re not quite ready to tackle an automatic or primitive bow from scratch. The process combines freestanding and laminated bow building techniques. video will show you step-by-step how to build a laminated longbow from natural materials readily available in archery supply stores like 3Rivers. With a few slight modifications to the process, you can also make a Howard Hill-style recurve or longbow with straight limbs using the same techniques.Although these bows are a little different from the wooden bows I’m used to making, they were relatively easy to build and worked well. These bows are an excellent introduction to archery and a great choice for hunting. A big thank you to our partners who help us make these videos! https://www.3riversarchery.com/https://eclipsebroadheads.comhttps://orioncoolers.comVous You can also connect with me on my other media! We make the best traditional archery, bow making, recurve hunting, craftsmanship and survival videos on the web. Join Clay, Liz and the kids on their outdoor adventures, from bowhunting deer and elk in the mountains of Idaho to hunting wild hogs in Florida, and practicing crafts and survival skills. We hunt and fish because we love it, but it’s also how we get most of our meat. Hunting is our way of life. We also cultivate a large garden on our Idaho property. This, combined with hunting, fishing and gathering, is how we obtain most of our food.
