Clay Hayes Hunter Traditional bowhunting in 2021

Bowhunting season is fast approaching. In this video, we’ll go over my traditional bowhunting setup for Idaho’s 2021 elk hunting season. This year, I’ll be bowhunting elk, white-tailed deer and wild hog, as well as a host of small game. In this video, I’ll introduce all my archery gear, arrows, arrow bodies, tailpieces, broadheads and small game tips. Then we’ll talk about my sinew longbow, D97 bowstring, notching points, string silencers and quiver. Once that’s covered, we’ll head out onto the 3D course, shoot a few targets and talk about archery practice for the elk season.

Don’t forget to subscribe to the channel. Every week we upload a new video on one of the following topics: archery, bowhunting, bowmaking, survival techniques, bushcraft, self-reliance, primitive techniques, primitive bows, hunting, camping, fishing, and much more!

We make the best traditional archery, bow making, recurve hunting, craftsmanship and survival videos on the web.

Join Clay, Liz and the kids on their outdoor adventures, from bowhunting deer and elk in the mountains of Idaho to hunting wild hogs in Florida, and practicing crafts and survival skills. We hunt and fish because we love it, but it’s also how we get most of our meat.

Hunting is our way of life. We also cultivate a large garden on our Idaho property. This, combined with hunting, fishing and gathering, is how we obtain most of our food.
